NBA Live 13 Cancelled

An unfortunate news came for the gamers who are waiting for an NBA Live comeback as EA Sports have decided not to release NBA Live 13 this October. According to EA Sports executive vice president Andrew Wilson, "We felt like we were on the right path....But making great games is not easy....It's clear that we won't be ready in October....We're going to sit out the full year and stay focused on making next year's game great."

The last time EA Sports released an NBA Live game was in 2009. Meanwhile, in 2010 it was announced that the NBA Live series would be renamed to NBA Elite but it was re-branded again to its original name.

The release of NBA Elite 11 in 2010 was delayed before it got cancelled  eventually on PS3 and XBOX 360

I understand that developing a console game is hard but the team of EA Sports had three years to fix any problems that they were having with NBA LIVE. On a side note, I'm still waiting for a console game where I can play FIBA World Championships.
